Electric window motors
I took the door panel off my 92 TC and considered removing the window motor (the gooseneck thingy broke on all four window motors) until I was unable to fathom how get it out. It looks like it's riveted into the door or something. Is there a trick?

Once you get ahold of a replacement, you'll have to drill out those rivots, and find suitable replacement fasteners.
Here's some tech articles on the subject: Clicky, Clicky... Clicky, Clicky...

Re: Electric window motors
i drilled out and bought short bolts, nuts, and lock washers...
but i still need new units... I rewound my own, but cable size, grade, and flexibility is hard to match... so, they have broken several times... waiting to splurge for the N.O.S. ...$$$

Considering all the problems I've had with this thing I'm tempted to simply drive it into the nearest lake. Thanks for the info guys. |

I seem to remember seeing these on eBay, NOS, for around $30.
