installing 5spd in 68 cutlass

has anyone heard of installing a 5spd manual trans in a 68 olds cutlass?
Any help would be welcome.

If the car is a stick shift now,there will be no problems. Maybe have to shorten driveshaft. If it's an auto, more work is involved. You will need brake and clutch pedals from 68-72 a-body gm car. The crankshaft might have to be bored out for pilot bearing bushing and hole in trans tunnel for shifter of course. There are more details involved, but these are the major things to look for. all of what mike88 said and possibly a hole in the floor pan for the clutch, and depending on cable clutch or hydrualic possibly the needed cylinders and reservior for the fluid.
