check engine

i have a 1993 civic si hb and the other day it rained here. then it dryed up and i decided to clean my intake cuz it got a little dirty. so i take it off and clean it up then i put it all back on and i start my car and my check engine light is on. the car runs fine and all the liqiuds are right. any ideas? i have already tried disconnecting the neg. wire on my battery and that didnt work.

did you accidentlly knock a sensor wire off ? what code is it ?

not that i know of, someone told me i could hotwire two wires together and it will give me a code but i dont know what two wires they are and where they are.

on the passenger side under the dash by the door is your ecu and those wires you should have a few that are capped off. if you put a paper clip in them it will give you the code on the check engine light in flashes heres a site with all the codes listed

dont just go poking around connecting wires youll fry your ecu, im sure someone knows exactly which wires to connect for your car

Check all sensors on the manifold and what not, maybe your map or tps sensor came loose somehow.

I know my tps doesent clip on right or tight, so I check it all the time.

are you looking for the connector to pin? look for your ecu just above it is a green box with two sets of plugs the wires should be green and brown on one off those plugs (if its not its the one with space for only two wires not three) than is your connector. And try not to fry your ecu p28's are expensive. I have done this and i just used a small paper clip to pin it with
