cats
I have had my car for a while now and I need new cats. I've looked around a little on the net and they are alot of money. I checked out prices at a ford dealership they were saying around $1100-$1300. I got new exhaust from the resanator back (resanator and 2 mufflers). I got that put on back right after i bought the car. The muffler shop said that they cant get the speical ford 3 catters. I was reading some post about stright pipes and such. But i just wanna replace the cats. Any advise for a cheap, dependable solution?

Re: cats
i agree w/ thunderbird muscle i live in NY w/ther's emmisions test and w/ just 2-aftermarket cats the car will pass(thats with dual exaust).Fords 3 cat set up and Y type exaust is set up from the factory to pass emmissions.but you can replace it w/a 1 or2 cat aftermakek exaust.
