Rod Knock

my 95 with 120k miles threw a rod anyone else had theyre engine go so soon i know the late 80s 3.8s had faulty engines but i didnt think it continued into the 90s

I am at 166k on a 3.8 Park Avenue and the engine is quiet and leakfree running 10w30 regular oil with frequent changes.

I would not complain about an engine(any engine) with 120,000 miles on it throwing a rod.that 3.8 is one of the best engines GM makes and has made for many years,some last longer than others but if an engine lasts for that many miles with no problems,it would satisfy me.
