Strange noise after each engine start
My car makes a sanding (zaah zaah) sound for like 1-2 seconds each time I start the car, no matter hot or cold, first time, or fifth start of the day. The sound goes away and won't occur again until I start the car again.
The sound doesn't occur while cranking but only after the engine has started, idles for maybe 1/2 a second, then zaah zaah. My hand has left the crank by this point already. I've been told it's valve lifters, oil filter, oil weight, starter. I'm trying to narrow it down and if someone has experienced something very similar, I would like to hear about it. |

Not sure whats up but my car made a high pitch whirly sound after i started it. Turns out that it was a sign that my starter was about to go, so no my starter is dead and I am not rollin'. See if you can have someone check your starter.

Not sure if this helps at all but sometimes when i start mine the fans almost go to start and then turn off again. They do this a couple of times as well, but the noise is simalar to what you described but maybe louder?
Hope this may help at all.
