T-5 synchros
the t-5 i installed in my car is used and i have synchro problems. i'm getting ready to change the fluid. i heard that if you use a thicker trans fluid (e.g. type f) it'll help a little. true or false?

False. Thicker fluid will make cold shifting worse. Use Mobile 1 ATF with about 2oz of Friction Modifier. The FM helps the sycros bite better. It won't fix what is broke, but it may help you live with until you rebuild it.
