Damn pet shops and their sad looking puppies

i was at the mall doing a little shopping when i decided to make a trip to the pet shop. i didn't have any intentions of getting any new pets as i just got a puppy for christmas last year but i saw a little long haired dark golden retriever with his sad little face pushed up all against the cage. the little guy caught my eye and i decided to take him out and play with him for a minute. he was just really friendly and the girl said that he was a pure bred with papers, just had a visit to the vet, just got his shots etc. and i decided to take him and just got home with him a few hours ago.

so this is my new lil buddy:

Him bonding with my other puppy:

him messing up the picture by blinking:

what i really need now is a name for him. any suggestions?

I'm just wondering, how much does a dog like that cost? I like turbo or even nismo as a name.

they were asking $950 and they were having sme kind of puppy sale that knocked $100 off. so $850, almost $900 after tax. The other golden retriever pictured in the second image cost $1000 from a breeder.

man, i love puppies, u always have to do the obligatory "stick him in front of a mirror and see how he reacts" trick. he tried to walk around his own reflection and into the space in the background, then started growling and squaring off to the dog in the mirror. i don't know how puppies end up in pet shops. if i had the money and free time to spend, i'd have taken them all home. they had a really nice looking Akita, and a blue-grey pitbull with blue eyes.

My golden's name was lexy. I had her for 17 years before I had to put her down due to a problem with her heart. The best dog I could ever ask for. Now I have a beagle and a shitz tsu and a border collie mix

this is my 3rd golden. They're definitely great dogs. My first one, Gaelan, had to be put to sleep, he had a malignant tumor in his stomach. You should consider yourself lucky though, 17 years is a long life for any dog, my dog was 13. It really sucked cuz that was the dog i had owned since i was like 8, so it was kind of a special bond, it was less like a dog died and more like a friend or family member died, it was really hard to put him down. that's kinda what made me get this guy, he looks a lot like gaelan did as a puppy. it bummed me out to see him sittin' in that cage.

Re: Damn pet shops and their sad looking puppies

All those dogs are gorgeous. BP2K2Max your new pup reminds me a lot of mine. She is just a tad bigger now, actually no she is a donkey now, she is about 8 months and such a sweetheart even though she is still chewing everything in sight.
