impreza questions...

i have a 95 impreza 1.8..does anyone know if they make a turbo kit for this motor? and could i do aa ej22 swap without major mods? im lookin for power...if i dont find some soon, im gonna end up puttin my baby on the bottle! i was thinking about tryin to gain some power out of a electric supercharger...supposed to run like 2.1 psi. or somethin...anyone have any answers or comments? any would be appreciated..thanks...

Electric supercharger = biggest waste of money under the sun.

Save your money and do a 2.2 Conversion or do a WRX Swap...It will save you in the Long Run...

what all would i need to do a 2.2 swap? any crossmembers or engine mounts? and im pretty sure my 1.8 tranny will bolt to a 2.2 right? i mean will it just drop in??? i believe i will be paying off the impreza and getting a 2002 wrx.. the regular impreza's after-market just isn't satisfying me...im lookin to run with preludes and v6 camaros.. i mean im gettin my ass stomped by a mazda 626 family sedan..kinda imbarrassing..but i love my subee!! and ej20t swap is just to much work... anyone know what to do??

Save your money and get the WRX then, then you will only have to worry about the Camaro, which you should be able to beat off the line anyway.

I built my Swap because I liked the 2 Door and No V-8 can hang with me, unless there built...If your 1.8 is almost paid just save and get a 02 WRX and start there....It does cost quite a bit to do a swap but in the long run it was fun for me....I have a JDM STI RA Drivetrain with a VF-22 Pushing 300 Horse at the Wheels plus 2 doors.....

im probably gonna end up going with a 98-01 2.5rs...i was honda..now. subaru!..but after the 1.8 chances aren't lookin good..although, im seriously considering nismo..2002 se-r spec v is lookin good right now...
sorry...had to say it..those are my two choices... either 2.5 rs or se-r..i love a.w.d though...but i also like the aftermarket parts for the se-r..
dont know what to do!! perswade me....

nismo makes some cool stuff, but thats about the only company that makes stuff for specifit applications on nissans, where as cobbtuning, STI, perrin, cusco, they engineer stuff for each individual subaru to make for the most performance enhancements possible....im stuck on subaru's for more reasons than most, and i couldnt be talked out of one by anybody....once you own one your hooked im sure everyone will agree with me on that one
