Trans no reverse?
Wondering if anybody know about a recall or something with the transmission problems with reverse on my 2002 Z71--meaning i have know reverse just forward...2 guys at work had same problem and they said something about GM knowing about problem but not doing anything about it...it's at the dealer know and won't be looked at unitl Feb 1st..I just thought I'd ask before I go in and start complaining--it only has 50k easy miles on it's my wifes truck I drive it very little so I know it hasn't been rodded on..thanks

My old boss has a 2002 2wd with the 5.3 that he never rodded or pulled with and his tranny went out at 45,000 miles. I have heard that they had bad trannies that year but that is just what I heard.
