Talking truck is killing me!!

I have a 97 5.7 4x4 seirra, cruising down the e way yesterday @ 75 mph, engine just dies (like the underpant trolls just jumped in to the motor and killed it!!) Will not start back up-- had to have it towed home. Just gave this truck a tune up, rebuilt tranny and tore apart top half of motor and cleaned out the injector poppets and fuel regulator filter-- Any ideas would be great here, iam currently laid off,(have been going on for 3 mths) driving a freaking geo, since my truck is dead and my rottweiler decided to have 10 pups-- (SORRY HAD TO VENT IN THIS GREAT ECONOMY WE ARE HAVING!! WHERE IS THE WORK MR. PRESIDENT!!) WAH-WHA-WHA

Does the engine turn over? If so, make sure you are getting fuel to the fuel rail. If no fuel, the pump probabaly went out.

Well -- feel like an idiot but its how you learn, just behind the throotle body is a electrical connector that runs the fuel injectors-- It is not properly seating and will not lock or clamp in place -- That came undone and now I have to figure out how to seat it down-- but the truck fired right up-- THANK YOU 2000CAYukon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same thing happend on my old 88 k1500 jimmy when my brother owned it , all he did was took some mechanics wire and wired it into place. May not look pretty, but it works.
