scarred shitless

damn yesterday on the way to my girls house i was racing a new maxima when we were about 90mph when all of a sudden i saw this car that had stalled in the third lane i barely missed hitting him i swear if i didn't have a good suspension and tires i would have definetly crashed because i ended up swerving across two lanes but luckidly i never lost control but i've decided i'm going to take it slow from now, that near miss really scared the crap out of me.

Wise choice man, Try and leave your speed Demon on the strip. I know its easier said than done but more times you go speed racer on the road more likely you are to regret it but you will get alot more competition on the track anyway.

Re: scarred shitless

Yeah, thanks for calling everyone stupid.

Buy a car that you can actually street race in and then we'll see what you say. If you've never done it, and can't that's one thing. If you've never done it and CAN, then you're either the world's biggest wuss, or the world's biggest flake.

C'mon 88... you've NEVER raced anyone on a street? Not even to get ahead of them and they didn't want to let you pass them? I could believe that if you were like 16 or something. BUT, if you've been driving for ANY length of time I don't believe you. Unless you live in LA or NYC or some crazy traffic place that you can't race in anyway.

Re: scarred shitless

Hunts Point in NYC is one of the biggest drag racing spots of anywhere in the country.

Re: scarred shitless

I'm a Philly boy, burbs really... Closer to Newark, Delaware.

I've been to NYC 2x. You'd have to pay me to come back. You people should have roll cages on the OUTSIDE of your cars, and 5" of foan on the roof (interior), you people are damn rough on cars... Better yet you should just use one of those bumper cars and drop a 350 in it.

You've got great food & entretainment up there, but your traffic is beyond night-marish.

But who do you think you're kidding... Philly's got better cheese-steaks.

Re: scarred shitless

IF Hunts Point is anything like the NYC I saw, your longest drag race is about 5 feet.

Re: scarred shitless

The big, crowded, trashy part. Near the really good Itialin restaurants with all the pigeons.

(Joking: Near the "Blue Man Group" theater, where ever in the hell that is.)

Re: scarred shitless

You can't really Judge a city like NYC based solely on 2 visits and your talking about Manhattan which is just one Borough out of five, but Manhattan is one of the most exciting places anywhere if you ask me. There is always some place to go and something to do.

Re: scarred shitless

Don't get me wrong... I liked it, but I'm a small city boy, a little too much togetherness up there. Nice to visit, but uh... 5 gazillion people try to drive the same strech of road at the same time! Had a lot of fun, but WAY too crowded for me. If I'm gonna race someone I want 2-3 miles and little traffic to do it. (Beat them soundly, with no room for excuses).

Let me know where's a less crowded spot and I'll consider going back. But had one hell of a fun couple of nights up there.

Re: scarred shitless

i got hit in the ass by a corvette going 60+ i was going 55 on the 4 lane and this vette was racing a honda (dont know why) the vette went to pass me and instead he clipped the ass end of my car and put me into a concrete barrier destroying my 95 trans am. i was very lucky i wasnt killed, there wasnt a place on that car that wasnt bent and twisted. it blew the ttops out and the windows.
