Re: Like the noise but dont want to vent?!?! Alternative to venting

No, you will need clamps and a piece of rubber hose to connect them together. I picked up my pipe and clamps at home depot but i can install it right now because its raining.

Re: Like the noise but dont want to vent?!?! Alternative to venting

yea you got the right one but dont get the long one. theres one i got at home depot called wall tube. Its 1 1/2 in diameter. then i bought some clamps for it. and i got little brothers bicycle tube from the tire and made little rubber tubes to hold the pipe with the BoV and hard pipe. It sounds ok. Not as good as i thought it would but definately an increase in sound. MAybe its because i really miss the venting sound lol. I had it vented for a day, and when i pass by a car i would give it to them right in their ear especially Honduhs. lol Ill post pics later today when i get a cam.

Re: Like the noise but dont want to vent?!?! Alternative to venting

Is that duct tape? lol

This is what i bought 3.99

then cut it to fit as best as posible and put my little bro's bike tire tube pieces on the ends.

Then i clamped it on like so.

and now it matches my intercooler piping, lol

I cut it with a a small saw we had laying around. But if you got the right one the thin tube you can probably cut it with a very sharp kitchen knife. Or if you really want it put on you can head over here to stockton and ill help you because yours look like it should be smaller than mine.

Re: Like the noise but dont want to vent?!?! Alternative to venting

Well mission (install pipe) accomplished but goal (louder phsst) failure. I bought the same pipe as u, the Wall tube for around 2-3 bucks and a small saw. I then got home from home depot and cut the pipe into the correct size.
heres a pic of stock tube and wall tube:
http://server2.uploadit.org/files/ViEtSuBaRuWrX-5.JPG

After that, i placed the metal pipe in its place between the bov and the intake. It was hard to stuggle it in but it went in. I noticed that it was VERY lose and air can be leaking out of it. I then took off the pipe and duct tape both ends of the bov and the intake for a better fit. After that i put the pipe back on and it was harder this time cause the duct tape was in the way but i did get it on. I then made sure no air can come out of both ends so i duct tape them too haha.. duct tape is the bomb! well it looks AMAZING!
heres the pic:

http://server3.uploadit.org/files/ViEtSuBaRuWrX-7.JPG

http://server3.uploadit.org/files/ViEtSuBaRuWrX-8.JPG

After i got everything done i decided for a test drive. This is where everything got dissapointing. I reved it up to 5500 b4 i shifted into 3rd but i didnt hear that high pitch sound that i used to hear.. instead, i heard a hollow fhssss sound. I then got kinda pissed and reved to 6500 and shifted into 3rd but still no high pitch chirp sound it used to make. After the test drive i drove it back home and installed the older rubber tube into the car and everything is back to normal.

lesson learned.
1g bov w/ metal piping = hollow sound
1g bov w/ stock rubber tube= high pitch chirp

By the way i have sound clips of before and after if any1 is intrested in them aim me at Viet Mustang or u guys can help me post up the sound/vid on here... either way dont matter.

EDIT: yes what u saw there was duct tape on my bov.. i dont know why its there but its just there.. its too gooey and sticky to remove so i left it on there haha.
