'94 S15 instrument panel with tach?

I am checking out to see if I can replace my instrument panel (without tach) with one that has a tach.

The instrument panel is just a plug-in, so is the tach already set or would I need to make mods?

Anyone else done this?

Afaik when I disassembled the instrument panel, the only connex was the ribbon cable into the board. The instrument panel plugged into the electronic fitting.
