Heater Cores

Can anyone tell me how hard it is going to be to change this damn heater core on a 1990 2.2 Corsica.
Yes it is shot, all the anti-freeze has completely leaked out of the overflow tube from the core.
DO I need to remove the dash on this?

Unless someone out there who has installed one of these has a better method, the GM Service manual I have for my 91 shows that the SIR system must be disc., of course the battery, and the instrument panel assy. When you check that out is refers to the entire panel assy. I don't see how in the world it could be done otherwise. Anyone else have a suggestion? I have changed them on Blazers, but these cars have little room to work.(On my son's 94 Beretta we glady paid someone else for the headaches) Very similar car. If my 91's ever goes, ditto.

I replaced the heater core on my '88 2.0 Corsica. I am not sure how much between the my '88 and your '90. I did not need to remove the dash. I think it took me nearly 3-hours.

If I remember correctly, I only had to remove the floor vent and not the dash. This was a feat in itself trying to find all the screws/bolts.
