Thank god i still have my factory alarm. Last night, some asshole attempted to break into my car by shattering the window. Seeing that little red light blinking, he attempted to unlock the door from the inside and the alarm went off. I didnt wake up, but im assuming that he just ran off. Luckily nothing was stollen. Couple of questions though...
Ne one know approx. cost of driver side window... What are the odds that insurance will cover my broken window motor, even if it broke before this incident. |

Re: Thank god for the factory alarm
a new window will cost u about 230 buck brand new i just replaced mines myself, if u can put it in yourself i would recommend that u do because it like another 100-150 for them to do it, our cars are a pain in the ass to work on so if u pay someone to do the labor they will make it worth their time. good luck though and at least u dont have to replace your radio or anything else ill take the window everyday!

Re: Thank god for the factory alarm
well the window motor isnt too expesive... $75 bucks or soemthing like that if i remember right.... but it would be a perfect time for who ever puts the new window in to put your motor in.... so i dont think it will cost you all that much.... but i doubt the insurance comany will cover the motor....

Even if the insurance company would pay for it you would still have to pay a deductible which is probably more than the cost of the window.
