Torsion bar questions.

Howdy, i'm in the process of finding a leveling kit for my '97 blazer (nearly impossible) and was told that I could turn up my torsion bars to get another inch to inch and a half. I was also told by someone else that it would screw up my camber if I did this. I would kike to know who is right,or are they both right, or do I adjust the t-bars and then get it alligned? Your help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

Re: Torsion bar questions.

After you reset the ride height with the torsion bars, the front end alignment will be out of specs. If it's set too high, you may not be able to bring it in with the factory adjustments. You do realize that by just tightening up your torsion bars, you are limiting front suspension travel.

Yea, I kinda figured that but don't know much about this truck yet. Thanks for your input.

Re: Torsion bar questions.

i adjusted my torsion bars so i could fit 31's on my blazer, i heard mad things about it but i did it anyways. my camber is fine suspension seems fine, and my alignment was fine. just either count the turns or measure from your fender to the ground so both sides are even.

its not the best thing to do but its a cheap 2 inches and will probably only f up you ball joints in time.

Re: Torsion bar questions.

Always get an alignment done after doing anything like this.

You cannot see if everything is fine with your eyes.
