air conditioning switch problem!!!

My air only works when the fan is on the highest setting other wise it doesn't turn on at all. when it is on the first three settings nothing happens, it only works on the last setting. need help please!!!

you have a bad blower motor resistor.

The blower motor resister is located under the passenger side knee panel... Then there is a wire harness (I think about eight wires). Take the harness off, then you will have to remove the two screws (I think they were hex screws?!? can't remember) to remove the resistor. Supposedly, you cannot repair the resistor... but it's very cheap from the dealer...

I forgot to mention...

After you replace the resistor, try not the use the lowest setting... That setting burns the resistor out the fastest... Every since I replaced the part six months ago, I've never used the lowest setting, and have had NO problems... =)
