bye guys (read this)

due to stupid comments made by one who goes by volkswagon
I will no longer be visiting this site or at least not as often I am hoping that by the next time I am here that he has faded away
I just dont really appreciate those who insult others who are trying to help them

Why? What did he say? Are you going to let one guy bother you?

Unhappy

Please Please Please rethink this. You are a huge asset to the Isuzu Community.

I too have been very unimpressed by some of the trend crapping the certain user you have mentioned has been doing in the past week.

Message forums are sometimes a mess when there is not a moderator. This form seems to be doing ok, but now is to the point where we need a few stickies at the top:

1. For FAQ's for +98's
2. For FAQ's for 91-97
3. For how to search

and finally people need to realize if you have a problem you need to track your problem in one trend. Not find 10 close ones and then post bits and peices of your problem.

I have contacted the folks here that run this site multiple times trying to get them to put some stickies up, and asking them if I could (and a couple of others) become moderators. But I never hear anything back from them.

If we want to do this we need to all head to this link:

http://www.automotiveforums.com/corporate/contact.php

and ask them if we can get some Isuzu guys as moderators.

Lets do it!

I agree with amigo-2k on several points!

1st, it would be a significant loss to lose 2eyefishclaw, I also want to say: please reconsider....especially for those of us who love our rodeos, but have only lifted the hoods for the first time in the last few months... we need all the expert advice we can get!!! So hang around will you!

2nd, moderators are definately needed, we should all follow amigo-2k's advice, and get on the case of getting moderators, I definately will!!! Please, everyone, take a few moments, it's in all our best interest.

Mostly, a valuable member to a forum is a real loss, I'd feel the same for 2eye, as I would for rodeo95, amigo2k, rodeo02, rodeo95.5, and several others. They check in daily to help us, I guess they do it so they learn more (as do I). This forum would not be as valuable as it is without those dedicated few that help us less-than-mechanically inclined.

2eye, hang in there, and we hope to see you here as always, THANKS!

Hey Volks, I don't know the history, so all I can say is, consider a way of communicating reconcilliation, it's worth it!

SOSLTER!

Don't mean to be critical, especially since I'm new to the forums, but losing a good member hurts everyone here. I mean, I have 3 monitors at my workstation (I work at an ISP), and one of my monitors usually contains one of the Isuzu forums.

I love to read and learn what the forums have to offer, and it would be a shame to see such a helpful person go, because of a bad experience or two.

Seriously, would you quit your job just because you had a beef with only one fellow employee, even if you had the option to avoid them, and not listen to what they say?

Think this through...again, you'll be hurting everyone including yourself. You wouldn't be here unless you liked to be.

My $.02

Steve

Re: bye guys (read this)

Look working on these car can be frustrating sometimes and we can get emotional over not finding the solution. Its all part of the game.
I cannot believe I can have that much influence on someone, please man don't let my stupid comments destroy your accomplishments.

Sounds like an apology to me. It's tough to read emotions online, which is why I don't sweat it when jokers come in...I would only get annoyed when the person keeps on and on about stupid things...and that's when I hit the mute button...lol....but it would be ashame to loose a knowledgable source, so don't take it personal and just let it roll off your shoulder...I

Please don't go!!!! I could have never made it without this forum, and you are definetly one of the most valuable resources we have here. As I have said in many of my posts, thanks so much for your help. I check this forum daily and have learned a great deal about my truck, thank you everyone.

Re: bye guys (read this)

If folks don't know this, 2eyefishclaw is an Isuzu Mechanic at an Isuzu dealership. He has helped out 100's of first time posters with their problems here and he does an excellant job narrowing down the problem to it's source.

I posted this thread as it ties to the thread you're reading.

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=354931

Hopefully this will serve as a resolution, and we'll see 2eyefishclaw once again. VolksW, thanks for making the effort, and for your offer of steering clear of 2eye from here on.

Now, everyone get on this forum for moderators, I've sent mine. Amigo2K posted a link above in this thread on how to request a moderator!

Happy Super Bowl!!!

As long as we are all begging you to stay, let me a join in and say

PLEASE DON'T GO!!!!

I try not to read too much into what people say on-line and I hope people don't read too much into what I say. Like, volkswagon, I get pretty miffed with my Rodeo sometimes too. Let's give him a break. He's apologized and I think he will play nice from now on.

But we ABSOLUTELY need your expertise, 2eye. You have seen things that we never have (and hopefully never will). Ryan and Joel (among others) do a great job is disseminating info they have found in other places but we count on you for 'been there, done that' experience.

So please STAY!

I'd like to chirp in one more time. I did not know you were an authentic Isuzu mechanic.

Years ago, for 4 years I worked as a mechanic/machinist (not licensed) on all types of vehicles.

By you offering your time freely in these forums, it points out to me the dedication and the love you have for your work. With how helpful, decent and honest you are here with everyone, it tells me that those qualities surely are reflected in your day job.

It would be great to turn wrenches on these cars for a living...the insight would be phenomenol. Please don't let one persons frustration distract you from doing what you love.

You are a great asset here, and although people get frustrated, they need the expertise you can share to help them through their problems.

In reality, when was the last time you told a client that you quit because they got frustrated with their car while it was physically up on the hoist in your bay?

Come on, think this through. We ALL know how hard it is to find a really GOOD mechanic...let alone one who specializes specifically on the vehicles we are all here to love and learn about.

Kind regards,

Steve
