ATF 2 and 3

i have a 89 blazer 4x4 4.3 the trans dip stick says only use dextron 2 but i put dextron 3 is this ok or am i dumb

Completely fine.

Actually, Dextron 3 is better and is the next upgrade in formulation.

You can always go up in number, never down.
