1999 blazer fuel problem
My 99 Blazer is not pumping fuel. I checked the relay and all fuses in the box uder the hood and next to the drivers side dash. All is good but the pump isnt coming on. Is there anything else to check before I replace the pump?

Re: 1999 blazer fuel problem
You could try banging the bottom of the gas tank, in the middle, with something such as a baseball bat, or kicking it, ( just use care under the car) while you have somebody turning the key. Many times this will get the pump going again, if it starts, you'll at least know it is the pump for sure. If it doesn't start it, I would
change it anyway, they usually tend to go out around 70,000 miles. I have a 98 with 65,000, and I plan on just going ahead and changing it this spring so I can do it at my own convenience. |

Re: Re: 1999 blazer fuel problem
If you have a test light, you can check for power at the grey wire leading to your fuel pump. Also, check for a good fuel pump ground. If it is attached to the frame, it can become corroded, killing te circuit.

Re: 1999 blazer fuel problem
You can't hear the fuel pump turn on at all?
Sounds like pump to me. Also, replace the fuel filter when you do this.
