hey guys i have a stock 97 stang i want it to be loud real loud and to sound like a 351 what type of exhaust do yall suggest i get. i want all the muscle sound i can get out of it. one other thing what else thats pretty easy and cheap can i do to improve performance wise

taking off you air silencer is free and takes 2 seconds... doesnt do much tho. you could find yourself a nice cold air intake for 35 or 40 bucks on ebay.

yeah i did that i think are you talkin about the little tube that flows the air from under the front fender i did that. what about exhaust

1) Do you have a GT or V6
2) Do you realize you need a CAM or CAMS depending on the motor to get a similar sound to a large displacement engine?
3) Exhaust alone won't make a car sound like Eleanor....

i was told for the v6 that the bassani duel exhaust is pretty good, and i think the flowmasters are ok for the v8, i dont really know about the magnaflow ones

To start, long tube 1 5/8" headers, 2.5" exhaust with x pipe, no cats. 2.5" flowmaster 40 series mufflers and for tailpipes go with 2.5" or 3".
Now the car will sound real good, but if you added some heads and a cam, it will sound amazing!!!
