Shopping for parts: what matters most?

I just want to see how you guys decide who you are going to get your parts from, whether it be turbo kits, body kits, stereo, springs, etc. For the poll, customer service includes willingness to help, good communication, technical know-how, and a general friendliness.

I'll pay a bit more for good service. Effort by the seller should never be overlooked for a better price.

Re: Shopping for parts: what matters most?

As a dealer, I HAVE to say definately an emphasis on customer service -- the BEST PRICE is not always the BEST BUY, what happens if you buy your part and have questions? What about warranty info? How long does it take to respond when you report a damaged shipment? What happens when there is a damaged shipment -- are you responsible for the shipping charges now to get a new part? All important things... hell if you want me to sell you a part and NEVER talk to you again, sure I will offer you a cheap ass price, but theres a little saying that you must expect the unexpected. Example?

People that I see on here that dont get full coverage on their car, and they get all their shit stolen -- when insurance would have covered it. People that skimp out on glass protection, end up getting busted windows... People that buy tires and opt not to get those little certificates to get free replacements -- end up damaging their tires, see my point?

Lets see if we can get some more opinions here. While we're at it, who do you guys shop with that you consider to have the best customer service?

Here's my take regarding stores (online/storefront)...
Great prices attracts customers. (Not always the case but, everyone is always looking for a bargain.) But, superb customer service brings them back.

Right...
Take Drivers' Image... Even though they don't have the best prices, I still go back. Greg is cool. Oh... I can't forget my man, Nick, from Redime, too...

When it comes to everything else in life, I'd rather pay more and get better service. That's EXTREMELY important to me. But since I'm on such tight budget for the car, I go for absolute lowest price and if the customer service sucks, I know not to go back to them.

Like here's a good one, if you need a camber kit shipped with a quickness, don't get it from GBC. The seller is so slow I'm gonna have to go pick the damn thing up. Now I knw for next time.
