Re: seat belt light

Wires under both seats? Do you have power seats? The only buckle tied into the seat belt warning is the driver's buckle. It is usually a single wire plugged into the bottom of the buckle srap where it bolts into the floor. You can determine if it is just a poor connection in the buckle itself by unpluging that one wire from the base of the belt and ground it out to the chassis. If it is just a poor connection in the buckle, the light will go out once that wire sees ground. If this is the problem, use a good aerosol contact cleaner and spray the inside of the buckle for a few seconds then work the latch plate in and out of the buckle a few times. This will hopefully fix you woes. Good luck.
