o2 sensor ?

I have a 88 civic when I change o2 sensor should i get the universal or oem sensor ? Does it make a difference?

It can be a universal see how our O2 are only one wire

just make sure its puts out 0-1v because thats what the stock puts out.

universal bosch (19.95) has worked fine for me for over a year. And to the person who recommended oem: Yeah oem is generally the way to go but some people don't have that much extra cash laying around to just throw at parts. Go look at the oem price vs bosch. $$$

well if you dont have the money bosch is ok. but oem is proven to last, bosch isnt.
my cars been going 13 years with oem sensor. not sayng that the bosch wouldnt, its just that oem is proven.
but again if i didnt have the money for that, i would go bosch

bosch is who makes the OEM sensors. they make 95% of all o2 sensors out there

This is true...

Mine is a Bosch and it works but damn it I keep getting a blink after certain conditions... like parking on a heavy angle, wet weather, not warming up my car before driving... I'm going to inspect the ECU later today, but if it's all good I'm pulling back the O2 wire through the complete harness passed the injector spin off all the way back to the firewall. The O2 wire is white with a rubber coating on it. I have multiple connections from a break in the line that was re-connected, a t-connection for my A/F gauge and then the connection for the actual sensor. I'm going to sodder it up real good and wrap it with insulated tape and if the blink comes back I'm going to put a brick on the acclerator and aim the car towards a cliff...
