Is an alignment needed...?
MI have a set of rims/tires on order that should be arriving today and tomorrow. They are a set of the "15 10.9lbs per rim Konig Heliums, and Kumho Ecsta 711 tires. My question is, when I get them installed, do I need to get an alignment as well, or is it not nessacery if my current tire wear is pretty even, each tiree has eaqual wear on the inside and outside sides of the tire, and no scalloping or any odd wear like that. I'm getting the wheels/tires from/installed at America's Tire Co. and they don't do alignments there, but recommend local places that do. I just don't want to spend the $$ for an alignment if I don't really need one. For FYI, I have a 2000 Civic DX coupe, and haven't touched the suspension other than adding a rear Si swaybar, and lower tie bar, as well as upper strut tower bar. Current wheels/tires are the origianl factory OEM stuff.

This might not help but from my knowledge, alignment is only neccessary when you have changed/tuned the suspension ...

Take it in for an alignment, they'll put it on the device, and if everything is within specs, they don't charge you. If not, well, you should get it done so you don't wear out your tires prematurely

like civicex95 said,if they check and you don't need it,they won't charge you.
Plus it's cheap insurance to keep the expansive rubber to last longer
