Question Easily damaged Winter Rims and Tires for A6

I seem to have awful luck with winter rims and tires for my A6. I am now on the verge of having to purchase my 3rd set of winter rims in 3 years due to damage. I had expected winter rims to be more durable and am wondering why they seem so fragile. Has anyone else experienced this, as well as does anyone have any recommendations for purchase before I buy my third set?

winter wheels really?

Well i dont know how easy it is to find a set of steel wheels they might be ugly and heavy but i use them in the winter with some Blizzaks no problems ever.

What is causing the damage? Also have you looked into repairing the rims at a wheel shop some places can fix them.
