New Pics of bright blue one with high mirrors.

I've hosted them and are fairly sure they're new here (please correct me if they're ancient!):

Pics

Edited to add: they must be fairly recent, judging by the E60 in the car park.

New for me its the piston heads car cant rember the chassis no thats for the pics fery much its nice that there all zipped up for easy download. For those in the UK Autocar mag www.autocar.co.uk has a sotry on a new "super enzo" f60 whatever in turnes out to be its mainly the usual guff (aka f1 car for the road, last super supercar its been tha way since f50 hasnt it.....) a decision on production still being 8 months awary Peter Stevens designer of F1 asthetically has some intresting stuff to say and Ross Brawn declares that the enzo dint have to be so functional and that it could of met its aerodynamic targets and been better look.

Anybody want to link to more pics of this blue car.

Edit just to say thanks for the pics and those frount tires seam a little bald to me anyone else.

Re: New Pics of bright blue one with high mirrors.

That McLaren looks a little trashed, the color combinations makes it look "used" I think.
I like black rims and that blue is a nice color, however I don't like them together on that car.
If they added some metallic in the paint it probably would seem like a new car.

But, what the H.......McLarens look good no matter what color or scheme you select.

very nice pics. thanks. I'd have to admit though it does look used because of the color combination. But Mclaren's were meant to be used an not a car to be held in a show room.

I agree. He's probably one of the few owners who has pushed the limits of his car. I can't stand people who buy them, and put them in a climate controlled showroom as a trophy.

Thanks for posting Joe - those high-res pics will especially be appreciated here.

By the way, if you've never been on here before, this place is THE online F1 fan site. The amount of trivia these guys know borders on insanity (they even maintain a detailed database of chassis numbers and car locations and try as best as they can to track the locations of the vehicles as they are bought and sold).

There are also some hardcore collectors of models and all sorts of F1-related paraphenillia (sp?).

It's a cool place.

Re: New Pics of bright blue one with high mirrors.

The blue is growing on me it realy is. I think it looks just right used but not abused the only thing that looks slightly thrashed is the stearing wheel and tyres however those high mounted wing mirrors dont look to good to me. Would be tempted to have the wheels black to lifes to short to spend all day cleaning them after every run to stop the break dust eating them.

I'm also curious about the black cable ties and plastic on the steering wheel. I know the white tape is on there to denote the home position.

The wheel was a temp. experiment (for size) and so is a little rough around the edges!

Thanks for the pics Joe - they are really great.

I love the additional carbon fiber around the instrument cluster and secondary controls and had not noticed that in any prior photos of the car. In retrospect, I think they all should have had that.

It seems you know the car fairly well. If you know the owner well too, please pass along that this group of F1 fans admires his originality with the car, the fact that he is a true driver of (in my opinion) the world's best ever driver's car, and I for one also really enjoyed reading all of his insightful commentary on the car over at PistonHeads.com.

Re: New Pics of bright blue one with high mirrors.

Pheloton can you put up/link to previous pics of this car For us newer members? Its nice to see that this car is used and enjoyed. I like the carbon seatbacks cant understand why some cars dont have this.

Incidentily i was reading something a little while ago about a car with simillarly treated black wheels they were described as stove black enamiled which may be the case hear. The more i see of this car the more it appeals whingmirrors and all its growing on me really is...
