engine shut down?

Newbie here. Sup everyone.

My question is on my 93 Chevy 1500. I was pulling into work making a statndard right turn to the parking garage when my engine and all electrical components just shut down. I do run a system of subs and amps but the battery is less than a year old. I'm speculating that it could my alternator or maybe a drained battery. Can anyone share some insight? Any advise is well appreciated.

On a side note, I think I have a clog on my windshield washer line. I have a full reserve tank but no fluid coming out. Is there a quick D.I.Y. to check for a clog?

Thanks in advance!

Re: engine shut down?

Did the truck restart or is it dead. Your wind shied washer prob is an easy fix. just start at the tank disconecting lines untill you find block,m make sure your pump does work, when fluid runs freely keep moving up line and follow it to spray nozzal. I have found that its usually the screen on the pickup in the tank cloged or its at the tip of spray nozzal thats plugged and if you use a sewing needle or something you can unclog it there pretty easy..jj

Re: engine shut down?

older vehicles could develop a prob were the power stering pump or system, having worn considerably would stall the engine in a turn by putting to much drag on the engine, this coupled with a carb that needed to be rebuilt can cause varying degrees of probs. Your truck is 11 or 12 years old now so maybe its getting awnry. Do the usual checks of electrical connections, battery cables, anything obvious and watch to see if it continues to happen. I would probably for good measure put a double dose of fuel cleaner and a tank of high test in it and drive it out to see if it improves over time...JJ
