94 oldsmobile 88 royale I need help with its choking and dieing

Ok where to start. I just bought this car and at first everytime I put on the brakes to slow down it died and I would have to coast off the road and start it back up. I replaced the spark plugs, the mass air flow sensor, and done a basic tune up on it, it seems to be a great car, but now when it sets and is idle it wants to quit, I can give it gas and it then it does quit. Then I have some problems getting it started back up and it will choke and cough and finally run for a few minutes and if i push on the gas to rev it up some it dies again. Any suggestions on what could be wrong. I appreciate any help given. Thank you.

does it do all of this after or before it warms up and have you checked your fuel pressure?also a cheap itm to put on is a fuel filter

Well first you need to narrow it down to a Fuel Delivery problem or an ignition problem.

it does this before and after it warms up, really no difference. As you can tell I am a woman, so my dumb question is, how do I check the fuel pressure? and Do you have any other ideas of what it could be? Thank you for your reply.

Is it throwing any codes or is a check engine light comming on or a service engine soon light???
