Re: Bang! Bang! Bang!!!

I don't agree no one ever needs a capcitor, they're useless. Upgrading your electrical system is what you do when you don't have the juice.

WHAT???? I was just beginning to like you then you had to say something like this????

Caps have a real world value in car audio systems. You've gotta limit the voltage spikes when the amps are pushing out the juice. Even if you went from a 100amp to a 400amp altinator, you'll still have spikes because the altinator only starts putting out the amperage AFTER the regulator tells it to up the juice. By that time, the bass note or what ever is causing the pull maybe done then here you might be over what you needed in the first place. Capacitors help soften the demand (and under demand) of power.

You do know that the better, high end amplifiers like Directed Audios 1500d is set up with a better capacitor bank inside versus el cheapo amps like A18001DT from Audiobahn.

There's a guy locally thats got his S-10 Blazer set up with this Audiobahn amp and 2 AW1208t 12" Audiobahn subs along with some other 'Bahn crap for mids and highs. He thought it was the shit. It was sad. I night, you'd swear he's turning on and off his lights with the music. He already has the biggest dry cell battery and altinator he could get. Also, everything is hooked up correctly, it's just that he's got crap.

Later on, he bought one of my capacitor banks from me. Afterthat, everythings running the way it should.

It's not really that hard. Just frame it out like in the links below. Get some fleece and soak it in glass resin. It's best to work in small areas until you get the feel of it. Once you have all the fleece covered, I like to really lay it on thick on the inside. That way you can be messy and not worry about sanding. If you put multiple layers on the outside, then it will get real rough and you'll be sanding a while.

This box you see below I am going to then smooth it all out with some bondo and then paint it matching color to the car. Then, I will have 3D flames airbrushed on it to match the vehicle.

Sorry but I don't have much else to show from this point that the fleece was attached. I had a newbie try to glass and bondo it and right now I'm debating to pitch it and start over. He tried to do mulitple layers on top and didn't do what I said on the inside.
