Fuel Pump Pulsator/Check Valve

Does anyone know if you can just add an aftermarket check valve inline on the fuel line if the pulsator/check valve goes bad at the fuel pump? Will it create any pressure issues I'm not thinking about? Want to avoid dropping the tank and paying for an entire new fuel pump(can't just replace the pulsator/check valve).

Re: Fuel Pump Pulsator/Check Valve

Do the repair properly with the right parts.

Appreciate your concern for me to do a good "by the book" job but looking for some creative thinking here.

Re: Fuel Pump Pulsator/Check Valve

You don't even know for sure if that is indeed the problem.

Replace the parts with the new alternatives and enjoy.

Ghetto rigging will only lead to problems in the future.
