Angry 2000 k25004x4 ingaging locks front wheels !

Hi Everyone, new guy here.

I have a 2000 K2500 4x4 that has 59000 miles on it, when I put it in 4 wheel drive, the front wheels lock up. Luckily I did this while stopped, what do you think the problem is, front axle hubs ? transfer case ? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you, you were correct mjgjr72, the pinion bearing in the front differential seized up and ruined the case also. This truck had 59,000 miles on it, never plowed, differential was full of lube and never leaked. I won't buy a new chevy again !!
