Question Windscreen washer not working.

One on the winscreen washer jets has stopped working. The passenger side is fine so I am assuming the pump and pipework is okay.

Can I do anything or is it a matter of replacing the nozzle?

Re: Windscreen washer not working.

Some times the holes get clogged, try taking a small needle and sticking it in the hole. You can also look at the lines underneath the hood to look for a visable clog. Hope this helps.

Cool

My 325is has done this 2ce in the past 5 years that I've had it. Between your 2 washer jets is a tee valve. It eventually fails on one side (for some reason). It is sealed, and you just have to replace it. Just go to the dealer, they are cheap ($10-$15). Note the tubing is secured to the tee valve with metal hose clamps that are difficult to remove and especially re-install. Just use a good quality wire tie to secure the tube to your new tee valve. Thomas and Betts, or Panduit make the best wire ties. The black ones are UV resistant. There's probably not a lot of sunlight ;-) under your hood, but the outdoor rating on the wireties will help.
