another question
oh i have another question...i have noticed that my truck is leaking oil by finding small spots on my drive way...i just changed the oil today and i hope that will help but it looks likle the oil it coming out of some where by the tranny...it is dripping off of it....it is a standard so its not tranny fliud...i havent checked it since i haven chaged it though..anyone else have this problem or know where it could be comeing from

Probably the first thing that you should do is clean all the drivetrain as much as you possibly can. Then watch to see where all the leaks are coming from.
Besides a clean motor is easier to work on. I usually run any car through a car wash and clean the area where I plan on working before I do most bigger jobs. |

my 98 4.3 does it, if you get under and look, look really relaly close, see the oil lines? its the crimp at the top, its not "Oil tight" anymore and its drips little by little, really pisses my dad off, but its never enough to have to put even half a qrt into it after 5k miles, start using high milage oil, if its already synthetic use the synthetic high mileage, if it patrolium keep useing that

i started useing high mileage oil and it went away, not over night, but within a month or two it was totaly gone, if you want a more ligit fix, you could replace the lines i guess, no idea how to do that
