Finished - BMW Z8
Hello !!
In finished this kit some weeks ago, but I want to show it here and fill the nice gallery of AF. The front light covers were made using acetate sheet... the original ones where not specially thin. I also added seat belts and rest of the kit was made out of box... Not a recommended kit, but there's no other choice. More pics from the building process here http://www.550m.com/usuarios/victorsanz/vs/z8/Z8.htm Hope you like it !! ![]() ![]()

Hi,
the overall impression of your model isn´t bad, maybe the yellow and red signal-lights and some black trim around the doors could be more crisp, but I like what you did. Something about the kit itself: The main problem with this kit and other kits of the Revell Germany AG is, that the wheels are too small. This company is unable to produce a modern modell car with wheels in the right size. This was a mistake with all the "Premium" kits they offered some yeas ago (BMW 6-series, 7 series, Mercedes S-Class). Recently I read that they bring out the Ferrari 612 soon and with this model they want to reach Tamiya level. :-))))))) Lets wait and see and look at the wheels ........ Micha |

I love the front headlight covers tho, they look very more realistic. Also the little wash on the rims make those small ones really better looking. Another thumbs up goes to the exhaust pipes, they look neatly done ! All in all a supernice model, good job Oh and this kit is coming out again, but as an alpina car, I wonder if atleast those rims will be the correct size Olivier |

The signal lights, some interior painting and other parts were not as clean builded as I would like to made them... at least the body paint looks acceptable !! Thanks for your feedback!! Víctor |

Nice job! That's my favorite color combo on a Z8. I know what it's like to build a model like this...I've seen the kit, and always wish it were better...I just finished a Fujimi RX-8 that's also a rather poorly executed kit, but it's the only one out there...and this is the only Z8. I know what work it takes to get the body cleaned up for paint...the mold lines are horrible, the sink marks, the wavy panels...you did a nice job making it look right.
