CV Joints

96 3.3L Grand Caravan.. See alot of post regaurding CV joints going bad causing shaking and vibrations. Mine seems to hop more than shake from side to side at around 50 to 60 mph then goes away. Have had alignment and tire balance which helped but problem still exists some what. .. What is the easiest way to check the joints without pulling back the boot cover to determine if they are bad. I am going to check motor mounts as well.

Re: CV Joints

To check out CV joints:
Drive slowly in a circle at full turning radius. Try this both full at left and right steering. Stick head out window or have a second person listen. If you hear "click" noises from the wheel area, the CV is going.
