96 i30 oil leak

I have a slow oil leak in my 1996 i30. Is there any news on typical problem on this model. It's hard to tell where it's coming from.

Axle ends & valve covers are typical in any engine. Tighten all valve cover & the mentioned oil pan screwss as they loosen during the years. Wash engine, follow leak. A leak is typically just a nuisance, oil is cheap: for crank rear seal replacement, tranny has to be taken off (engine off also??) ...For small leak use diapers

Re: 96 i30 oil leak

to squel: don't worry too much if ur not losing alot of oil (est. 1/16~ qt). but if severe check the oil-pan, oil level sensor, or throrough check-up (a bit costly) because u don't want to find out later on that it has been 'BURNING' oil rather than a oil leak.
