WTB... Decent 4th Gen

i am looking to buy another 4th gen (CRX/ or Hatch, doesnt matter) with a B18A swap in it already. However i plan to keep it under $2500
($3000 at abosolute max) If it is pretty much impossible, tell me about what one should run me please.

Re: WTB... Decent 4th Gen

the car itself should run anywhere from $800 - $2500 (better be in hella good condition for that much though)

not too sure how many ppl are selling em with b16s, or b18s for that matter. Most of the time ppl are selling cars with engine swaps because either something went wrong, or it doesn't run (from what i see anyway). A B-swap with mounts and everything runs a good $1200 or more doesn't it? Probably more for quality components.

I'd stick with finding a stock honda with a good body and in decent condition, and then doing the engine swap etc. yourself, so then not only will you get some more experience and some fun messing with the thing, but it'll be more reliable and built the way you want it, so you know if there are any major issues or not with the motor as well. If you buy a car with a swap, it might cost you more in the long run.

But ya never know, sometimes they have some good deals and people just wanna get rid of their car cuz they're moving, insurance, etc. Gl on your find!

Re: WTB... Decent 4th Gen

man, i see all tons of cars for sale neer where i live with b series swaps for like $1000. Someone buys 4th gens and does swaps and sells them off without mods. Its some old guy thats rich and loves civics and integras. more into helping people out than making money.
