Re: Vtec Engine Swap

i dont know the engine code. i havent bought the engine or the car just yet because i wanted to figure out if i could make it work first. im gonna go check out the engine to make sure it looks good. i just dont know about it yet, it could get scary. i dont know if the engine will bolt into the same mount areas, if the transmissions are interchangable, or if the wiring is anywhere close to being the same.

Re: Vtec Engine Swap

no, accord motor (f-series) into a civic is not gonna work. some people put prelude motors (h-series)into civics. the only good ideas for your civic are D an d B series motors, unless you were to be a very very skilled and experienced honda tech.
so no, dont expect to get that accord motor into your civic. D and B series harnesses are interchangeable, but other than that you cannot match up f and d series components like block N tranny, wiring, etc.

Re: Vtec Engine Swap

It's just like doing an H22 swap, you even use the same aftermarket mounts. I don't have a clue about what wiring you'd have to do, don't know much about Accords.
