Front Wheel Bearings

Hi all just stubled on this forum... and decided to post my question. Ok I have a 6 inch lift on my Bronco and my front tires are off camber and its not my ball joints but my wheel bearings. I have a chime in the front that I have had for a while and i want to replace my wheel bearings before or right after i get new tires. Heres the question what bearings do i need to look for. I undertsand that there are three and one is pressed into the spindle right? and I am of the impression that the two others are the same and both sides of the truck have the same bearings as the other. And when i get the new bearings whats the best way to get the old pressed bearing out and put the new in without the pressing tool? any suggestions would be helpful thx.

Re: Front Wheel Bearings

the best way to press the small bearing(torington/needle) into the spindle is to tap it in with a socket and hammer. you can remove the old one with a long punch. if you do your wheel bearings check the axle u-joints if they have any play or you see rust comint through the caps replace them. hell i'd replace them anyways since everythings already apart. also check the brake rotors if they are warped, cracked, grooved this is the time to replace them. you will need to get new bearing grease seals and check for oil leaks at the diff axle seals. oh yeah you need a special tool to remove the wheel bearing nut and probably a big rubber hammer to get the spindles free.
have fun!!
