My stress has never been reduced so fast...

FUCK ME DRUNK.

Best stress release ever? When SOMEONE ELSE SCREWS UP and pays $1000 off my mastercard bill by mistake.

Karma is a bitch. Unless you've been good.

WOO FUCKING HOO.

Re: My stress has never been reduced so fast...

Hey Oz, do you remember the story a year ago when some guy woke up, went to the store to get some papers, then decided to check if he got paid, and someone accidently put 203 MILLION into his account?

He didn't touch it, and called the bank right away.

Here's what's interesting, they said the interest generated in his account for the period of time it was there, was over 22 thousand bucks, the 203 mill is the banks, but not the interest, in theory, so he should of been able to keep the interest, but he gave it back!

Was on A Current Afair I think.

Re: My stress has never been reduced so fast...

My dad was once depositing $5000 into his checking account, and when he got the receipt for the transaction, he noticed they only put $500 in his bank account. Complained to the manager, and they must have fired the teller, because I never saw the person again.

Enjoy it for the short term. As soon as they realize the payments been applied in the wrong place, it'll get fixed. This isn't a case of finders keepers.

Re: My stress has never been reduced so fast...

That's happened to me a few times before, on both sides of the spectrum. bad first: all the sudden I'm missing like $300 outta the blue. And I didn't notice till one of my checks bounced. Turns out some dood making a withdrawl had the wrong number or some shit like that. you'd think they'd check it. They refunded me the $22 processing fee for my bounced check. pricks... I've heard Commerce Bank doing shit like that on almost a concerningly regular basis. I've got at LEAST one or 2 friends that that's either happened to directly or one of their family members.
I once had 2 grand and some change put in my account by accident. The best way to deal with it and make sure they don't get it back is just as SOON as you see it, withdraw ALL of your money and then close the account. I was afriad they'd find out, so I just closed the account and opened with Bank 'O' America. That paid off my CC bill and some of my car payment. It's JAW DROPPING how fast money disappears sometimes. And it's worse when you're not spending it on fun shit. :\

Re: My stress has never been reduced so fast...

I went to my bank just this Summer and deposited $75.00 in to cover a cheque and when I got my receipt back from the teller it said that my balance was $2.3 million and change.
I looked at the teller and said " It's amazing how fast it adds up with $75.00 a week eh?"
She looked and then did the best double take ever.
I then walked out and went back to work and showed the guys and they were all telling me to go on this big spending spreee or to take of to the Tropics...errr no, I don't think so.

Unless I could get say, a couple of mil out and never come back..

I never mentioned anything to the bank and it took them two weeks to fix up my account.

Never thought of the intrest though.

I remember a few years back here in Ireland before the Euro came in a guy went into the bank to get £2000 worth of Pesatas (sp) for his holidays. The £2000 was taken from his bank account but the teller made a mistake in the exchange and gave him £20,000 worth of Pesatas. The guy went off on his holidays and in the mean time the bank realised the mistake and because the money came from the guys account and not cash they knew he had the £20,000 worth of Pesatas. He got word of it while on holidays and said he wasnt giving the money back that the bank made the mistake and it was their own fault. Once the bank started making legal threats he quickly came home and returned the money.

What I find scary is we pay the bank in charges to look after our money and they can make very simple mistakes like this. And worst still I know certainly here in Ireland you must have a bank account you cant hold onto your own money. What a stupid law.
