h22 swap or h23 turbo

I know that this has been asked b4 but i haven't been in this froum long. I have a 92 Si h23 with 102k miles , and i wanting to turbo that. I was also thinking about an h22 swap. I just woundering which would be best(horsepower) and more dependalbe.and also cheapest.(trying to get through school also)

Neither.

With a block that's still in decent condition like that, you'd probably want to keep it running for a few more years. It's not new enough to survive a turbo, or old enough to warrant an H22 swap.

If you insist on spending the cash, go with the H22 swap. Having a car that will last you through college is a good thing...

I agree, I am in the same situation this guy is in. But I'm not doing anything till my h23 passes 200k mi. I plan on doing an h22 swap with high compression pistons. Yeah turbo's are fun but I don't believe it's practical in a front wheel drive car, takes too much money too much time and you still can't run really low times because it's front wheel drive. A turbo sacrifices reliability(usually) for power, an h22 gives a good amount of power yet not too much and will be MUCH more reliable than a turbo set up, probably cheaper too.
