hello all. i thought there was a forum on here that talks about how to do this but i can't find it. i want to put an open element air cleaner on my 89 rs, 305 tbi. and get rid of that nasty lookin stock housing. the problem is where to put the intake air cleaner temperature sensors (i think thats what its called). my fathers edelbrock cleaner has 'knockouts' molded into it. is this what i need? so i could just cut them out. could anyone give me some info. i appreciate any help.

Re: open element on tbi???
thirdgen.org has a tech article about this but the site is temporarily down. but yea, you can get it on, you just hafta mount that sensor in there somewhere.

Re: open element on tbi???
Yeah back when i had my 305tbi i did that open element on my maro and i lost a little throttle response in the low end but i felt the difference in the top end & plus it makes a cool sucking noise.
