95 V6 Accord Flickering/pulsating???

I have a 95 V6 Accord that every now and then, the interior lights and headlights will pulsate from dim to bright...dim to bright. Almost one cycle every second while the car is running. Also, the rpm gauge and speedomoter, etc will stop working. Usually just happens when it is below freezing.

For example it did it tonight for about 10 miles. I stopped the car for 5 minutes, came back and started the car and everything was fine.

ANy ideas?

Does this happen when you are idling, and then tend to go away when you start driving again or stay higher in the rpms...because it almost seems like an alternator starting to go. Take your car to your local Autozone and ask them to check your battery and alternator (they advertise doing it for free).

It happens when driving. The tach will stay between 1000-2000 even though engine is lot higher. engine actually runs fine.

I'd have your alternator checked, and also your battery cables...perhaps they are corroded, a bit loose, or grounding out somewhere

Will do. The same thing happened twice last winter. I've had the car 3 years and it has happened about once per winter. Something about the below 20 degrees temp.
