Taurus Cold Weather Problem

I purchased a used 2002 Taurus this past Summer that is giving me
problems in cold weather. When it is below freezing, it starts but the
engine chokes down and quits after putting it in gear. The Ford dealer has worked on it twice ($500 repair bill) but it is not fixed. Anyone
else encounterd this problem with a Taurus?
