Hello Jeep Folks... Just came in from work and found the "grand" sitting in the drive...It should be with the "my better half" at her work...She drove it in last night "no problems reported"...This morning (17 degrees out) it would only do as follows...(verified by me this afternoon)
It will turn over...It will try to "hit"...You can hear the fuel pump kick up when the switch is turned on and can smell fuel if you try to crank for a short time...But it will not start...I have read a bunch of the "won't start" threads but nothing sounds like this. Can you help me out? ..... It's cold outside... Last edited by Ga-Jeep; 01-24-2005 at 07:14 PM. |

Re: 93 grand turns over "not start"
try this (engine prolly flooded for soem other reason of non start).
Remove th Fuel pump relay from the Power Distribution Center (Engine Compartment, behind battery), and try to start the jeep over and over again, it will prolly start for a few then die, just let it run till it dies then try to start it a couple more times - do this til it will not start at all. then put the Fuel Pump Relay back in and prime the line (turn the key to the ON Position for about 5 seconds) then start the jeep and let it run for a couple minutes, it may idle rough for a few seconds. |
