I have a 2000 chevy silverado 1500 with a 4.3 v6.This is the smallest factory engine that is put in this truck.Right now it has some power.I would like to put a lift kit on it and bigger tires.Like a 6inch lift and 35s but would that kill it,would it be able to handle it?by the way it is 4x4 and I would like to use if for a little off-roading,nothing serious but maybe some trails.

Re: Does my V6 have the power
if you want a lift and bigger tires don't bother with a v6. i have a 2wd V8, and i wouldn't lift it either. not much purpose puttin 35s and a lift on anything other than a 4x4.
