Question Does my V6 have the power

I have a 2000 chevy silverado 1500 with a 4.3 v6.This is the smallest factory engine that is put in this truck.Right now it has some power.I would like to put a lift kit on it and bigger tires.Like a 6inch lift and 35s but would that kill it,would it be able to handle it?by the way it is 4x4 and I would like to use if for a little off-roading,nothing serious but maybe some trails.

Stay on the street and you should be ok. Are you doing it for functionality or for show? You might want to think about some bolt ons if you plan to take it off the road.

Re: Does my V6 have the power

if you want a lift and bigger tires don't bother with a v6. i have a 2wd V8, and i wouldn't lift it either. not much purpose puttin 35s and a lift on anything other than a 4x4.
