Vararam intakes???

anybody tried one of these "vara ram intakes"??? The king cobra looks cool, but i dont like the idea that they arent vehicle specific, in that its a one size fits all thing for gm/ford. ALSO, check out this "velocity stack" intake stabilizer. I wonder if its worth a try. I am prolly gonna stick with the K/n FIPK but i may get this velocity stack thing.

I am surprised if the car will start. It looks like it blocks the IAC opening. See the little inlets in the upper left side. If they are blocked how does the engine run? The computer does not know the flow of air.

Should make the engine decrease in HP/TORQUE in higher rpm because it is making the opening smaller.

Buy a bigger throttle body and open up your intake to match the bigger throttle body and upgrade your injectors.

That will make more of a difference.

I've known two guys to get the vararam intake and they both sent them back to the company. Dyno numbers were lower. Also, velocity stack is a waste of money. These trucks don't get any boost from polished throttle bodies. Some have seen small increase in gas mileage though.
