need advice on winter starting

hi yeah i am from california where the lowest the temp drops in 60 in the winter so this threw me for a loop i now live in boise where a warm day is 35 drgrees so i need to know how important is it to let your car warm up before driving and for how long and or what should the engine temp be? any help would be apprecated.

Start er up and go... lol.... wouldn't hert to let it warm up enough to get the oil flowing nice and good.. 2-3 mins..
